An aircraft with a storied history, she left the Zone of the Interior in April of 1944, flown by the Bales crew, 490th BG, 850th BS. After the Bales crew were 'volunteered' to the Carpetbaggers, the plane was given to the 34th BG but after major battle damage and repairs was given to the 406th Night Leaflet Squadron, and ended the war at Harrington, to return to the Z of I flown by the Hewit crew. On 10 August 1945 she was assigned to the Reconstruction Finance Corps and was later scrapped. Scan is from an artist's depiction as the plane appeared while flying with the 406th NLS.
