My FamilyNow, what personal website would be complete with out a blurb about one's family? MomA great friend to have. She is always there to help me and I do my best to help her when she needs it. I proudly state that I live with my mother. The rent is much lower than at any of the appartment complexes in the area, I get a hot dinner every night (if I can get off work on time), and I just have to help out with any projects around the house like making sure the garbage and recyling is out on the street every week, cut the grass when it needs it, or crawl under the house to make minor repairs to the heating ducts. We just recently made some repairs to the roof and replaceds some of the drywall in one of the bedrooms that was used as a storage room for 'junk'. She has agreed to let me move over into that room since it is bigger than my current one! Yeah, my mom is the greatest! ChristopherChris is my 'little' brother. Ah! You just noticed that I put the word little in single quotes. He used to be my little brother, but the squirt went and grew a couple of inches taller than my mother and I! Chris is currently taking courses at Job Corps over near Yakima, WA and comes home just about every month for a weekend. He is a great brother and I've learned quickly not to play any games on his X-Box with him. I don't know how he does it, but he'll master a game in a matter of a few hours and kicks my virtual butt all the time! It will be interesting to see what he plans on doing with everything he's learned at Job Corps and I wish him the best in what ever he does. Dante vonRainier (a.k.a.: Buddy)Buddy is our family dog. He is a pure bred German Shepard who still thinks he's a puppy and belongs on your lap! He definately has his own personality and sometimes I think he's spoiled. If I'm on my computer for a long time, he'll come into my room and take his muzzle and put it on top of my arm until I look at him. Somehow, he thinks that is his cue to try to jump up in my lap and get petted. There have been times when he needs to go outside for a nature call and then he will come in and take his muzzle and push my arm up off the keyboard, usually causing me to make a spelling erorr...<---just like that!! He must be a mind reader too. Anyways, he is very protective of the house and of the rest of the family. He doesn't allow hitting of anything. I think that was a great thing to teach him. My mother and I make sure he still knows it's ok to growl, bark, and even grab our arms if needed when we try to pretend hit/slap each other. After each occasion, we give him a treat and tell him he's a good boy and did a great protect of Mom or Greg. I know he understands cuz he'll come up and start licking us and wagging his tail! ShadowOk, we have a cat whom my brother picked out at a local animal shelter. He's completely black! Now, I for one am glad I never bought into the whole superstitous mumbo jumbo about black cats walking in front of you and getting bad luck. This cat will make every attempt to walk in front of you until you bend down and pet him. He's very demanding when it comes to paying attention to him or when he wants something. He'll even jump up on my desk and walk right on top of my arms while I'm typing just to get attention that he feels he is entitled to. Well, there you have it! A little bit about my family! without their support and love, I wouldn't be the person I am today. |
