CC, aka Calico Cat;
the smartest cat I've ever known.
She hated loud noises, and rain. When
she was found as a tiny kitten it was raining; there
she was, huddled by the dumpster, miserable, wet and
hungry, but unbowed - tiny back arched, fur spiked
ready to take on the world, and ready to purr with love
and gratitude when she was picked up and taken home.
She knew the other
cats by name and would "fetch" them if asked (and she
was in the right mood). She liked to play
"basketball"; toss a paper wad at the wastebasket, she'd
intercept it and slam dunk it, and was "Top Cat" in the
house all her long life. She was fast and strong and
clever;
her folder at the vet's office was marked FAST in large
red letters - she once took out three before they even
knew she was ready, with one swipe of her
paw.
She left suddenly,
near Thanksgiving in 2002 She'll be waiting at the
Bridge for her family. She was loved and is much
missed
