Rascal allowed Sharen to live with him - he liked it that way.  His human waited on him, loved him, played with him; all was right with his furry world.  Then Sharen met Paul and Rascal's life changed; who was this strange person taking up his person's time? Why did she leave him alone so often these days? Why didn't she spend time with him as she used to?  It was Paul's fault! He'd show him he wasn't going to allow any invaders in his domain. He'd get rid of this intruder.

Well, he did try, but Paul has gradually won Rascal's grudging approval...and Rascal fell asleep on his lap recently.
