Spooky, named for the cartoon strip
cat, was a member of Chuck's family for 18 years.
They found her near a dumpster hoping for a handout -
they fed her a hotdog which she devoured with haste,
then turned and strolled toward the apartment
building...up the hallway and straight into their
apartment, up on the couch and settled down for a nap.
She adopted them. A visit to the vet brought the
news that she was pregnant and a few weeks later the
kittens were born. Homes were found for all but
Shadow, and the two of them
were inseparable; they slept in a single basket, piled
up like one big cat - played together, ate together...
In September. 2002, Spooky, followed
Shadow. She couldn't bear to go on without her daughter.
They'd been inseparable all their lives; how could death part
them.
