Raqui and Rainy had a second litter of pups in 2001 born over the course of a fairly long night 12-13 July. There were four pups in the litter - 2 males and 2 females. These pups are fourth generation Chinook crosses. Their great-great-grandmother was an Alaskan Malamute that started the cross line established by Bob and Connie Jones of WoodsRunner Chinooks. Any progeny of these pups will be eligible to apply for full-blooded Chinook status at the age of 2 years. While the pups were living with us for their first eight weeks, they were known as Fred, barney, Wilma and Betty. Now they are living in Alabama, Vermont, Colorado and one stayed here in MA with us. The pups grew up very quickly. Below are photos taken when the pups were 5-7 weeks old. Fred is top right, Barney is at top left, Wilma is at bottom left and Betty at bottom right.
