Pups 29 July '04

Katie's pups are now 4 weeks old. They have become very interactive and interested in the world outside the whelping box. They are eating softened solid food regularly and enjoy going outside to spend some time in the grass. Here are some photos taken over the past several days.

The Balsam Ridge chain gang....OK, they look like prisoners but actually they were enjoying a sunny afternoon out on the grass safely contained in their X-pen.

At chow-time the pups are all business.

Weighing the pups has become a challenge since the pups are more mobile. In these days of low carbs, how about a puppy wrap?! Marsha is snug as a bug in a rug. (this one's for you, Jess)

The rest of the Balsam Ridge pack has been helpful with watching out for the young pups. Tucker can't wait until they grow up a bit more so he can have more play-mates.

The pups are very happy in their whelping box - now turned into a playpen...

....however, it won't be long until they are climbing out and enjoying the bigger world. Mike wants to know if the world is ready for him!.

We should all take a cue from Cindy........Peace!
