Welcome to Tucker's page!
Balsam Ridge Tucker was born 7 May 2000. His sire is Saghalie's Kaniksu Reign (Rainy) and his dam is Woodsrunner X Raquel (Raqui). Tucker weighs 77 lbs and is 24.5 inches tall. Also, Tucker is CERF normal and OFA Good.
Tucker was originally a 4th generation Chinook cross from a line initiated by Bob and Connie Jones of Woods Runner Chinooks with an outcross to an Alaskan Malamute. In April 2005, he was approved by the COA Cross program as eligible for UKC registration as a purebred Chinook. He began is first season of showing in conformation events this summer. In the Chinook National Specialty in June, Tucker won Best Male among a very competitive group of 13 class dogs, and he completed his UKC CH title with that win. Tucker is currently available for stud - and is very enthusiastic about the prospect of doing his part for the future of the Chinook breed.
Tucker is an avid diver and swimmer, as shown in the photos below.

Tucker also enjoys the snow and is a very powerful sled dog who always has to be in lead on the team.

After working hard pulling a sled, Tucker enjoys a good roll in the snow and romp in the meadow at home.

Tucker is a very sweet boy and helps raise the younger pups and show them the ropes. At left below is Tucker saying hello to Tatla's sister, Taholah, and at right is Tucker, checking out one of Katie's pups.
