The SIM8 was introduced in 1972 - at least the copyright date screened onto the board itself is 1972. It contains an 8008 microprocessor, 1K byte of RAM (32 256x1 chips), 2K bytes of EPROM (8 chips 256x8 chips), glue logic and an external bus interface.

In 1984, I had the good fortune to rescue this bit of history from a trash can at CHI systems in Santa Barbara, California.
