Golf Association It is the belief of the Delmarva Peninsula Golf Association, "that golf activities can be promoted through organized effort on the Delmarva Peninsula, and that these activities will foster a spirit of fellowship and goodwill, as well as mutual understanding among the citizens of the communities of the Delmarva Peninsula."

"B" League CompetitionDelmarva Peninsula Golf Association Men's "B" League RULES Eligibility to compete in conference matches A. Competing Clubs must use the USGA Handicap System and must be members of the DPGA. B. An individual competitor must: a. Have an official USGA Handicap Index with the Club he represents which converts to no less than a 6 Handicap from the tees to be played on the competition course, b. Be an active paying member of his Club and in good standing, c. Have reached his 21st birthday prior to the match being played, and d. Represent only one club in any calendar year. C. A Two-Man Team may not have individual or combined handicaps totaling less than the following on the competition course: a. PAIRINGS SHEET SLOT #1 - 6/16 b. PAIRINGS SHEET SLOT #2 - 7/20 c. PAIRINGS SHEET SLOT #3 - 8/22 Competition A. Each Club will field 6 two-man teams, with 3 teams playing away and 3 teams playing at home at Four-Ball Match Play. B. Each Club will average one match a month from June through October, preferably on the second Saturday of the month. C. Play will be from the men's tees or White Tees. D. All matches are played at "scratch". E. Points will be awarded on the basis of one point for the winner of each nine holes and one point for the winner of the 18 holes, for a total of three points per match. One-half point will be awarded to each team for a tie in any of the three segments of competition. The Club with the most points wins the match. A tie will remain a tie. F. If there is a playoff or league championship event, a Club's standing will be based on its won-lost record. In the event of a tie, and if the breaking of a tie affects a playoff spot, the Club having the most total points shall have the better record. Awards The Club with the highest points will be awarded the Championship Plaque which will be displayed in their club house until the next years winner is determined.
