This is my first attempt at freefall videography. I mounted a mini DV camera on my chest. Considering I had no view finder or wide angle lens, I'm quite pleased with the results.

This jump cost me an ACL in my right knee and a Summer as a whuffo. If you like blood and guts, you'll be dissapointed, as the "red light" you hear me constantly checking decided to go out on me anyway.

When you were a kid, did you ever try to get 2 or 3 people to summersault down a hill together while holding onto each other's ankles in a giant loop? That's what this is - except with 12 people - and out the back of a cargo 'plane at 13,000 feet. Watch the guy in front who almost leaves early.

Here is the former New England record for the largest freefall formation - 54 persons - set at Pepperell in 1995. Large formations are both difficult and dangerous because of the congestion. Watch as the formation breaks up like an exploding star at the end, as each jumper seeks clear air to deploy their canopies.

This is NOT ME! This nervous AFF Level I student forgot all of his ground training, and unwillingly demonstrated the importance of keeping a stable, symetrical body position at pull time. His instructors really earned their pay on this jump.
