Religion of Peace?

We have heard the phrase "Islam is a religion of peace" repeated like a mantra. The boilerplate articulated by Western politicians and cultural leaders since 9-11 is that the religious affiliation of the fanatics who crashed those airliners into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon was irrelevant to their development as terrorists.
It is asserted that the vast majority of Islamic states and their peoples are neither associated with nor sympathetic to terrorism. This is indeed what many believe, or want to believe, but there is little proof supporting the thesis. It is simply politically incorrect to imply anything else.
Consequently, most commentary on the topic has been so couched in the taboos of P.C. ideology that it has served more to obscure rather than clarify. The central underlying issue is, as historian Bernard Lewis presciently observed back in 1990, that we have a "clash of civilizations" -- Islamic vs. Christian and post-Christian; rigid theocratic hierarchy vs. permissive secular modernism -- fueled by what Lewis calls the Muslim world's "downward spiral of hate and spite, rage and self-pity, poverty and oppression."
The classical Islamic definition of "peace," and our default assumptions of the meaning of "peace" in the West, are quite dissonant.
The latest weapons of war in the endless arsenal of this religion called islam are the information and media nodes i.e. psychological and information warfare.
The religion of islam is being projected as a peaceful religion while those that commit terrorist acts are simply dubbed terrorists.Terrorists! as if they are hired killers!
What, people are being made to forget is that these terrorists are muslims and they are engaged in completing their 'religious' aim of islamization of the whole world.
Off late there has been an attempt to show that the evils associated with this religion are simply the doings of 'a handful of evil people called terrorists' - This is akin to saying that Nazism itself is not a bad philosophy, only those that followed it were bad. It is time we realized that a philosophy which condones violence on those that do not subscribe to it, is evil.
To dress up any such thought under the innocent robe of spirituality is not only demagogy but also a crime as persuasion to subscribe to violence and anarchy.
Then there's Islam with its "bloody borders." It's the only major ideology in the world today that combines incompatibility with a "good" society and historical "legs." The Islamic world has scores of autocracies and only one modern almost-democratic state (Turkey). The only branch of Islam that consistently makes decent neighbors are the Sufis, who are the ones who pay the least attention to the Koran. For the rest, Muslims fight with Christians, they fight with Jews, they fight with Hindus, they fight with Buddhists, they fight with Communists in western China....
In all the nations that are undergoing a civil or a direct war,the war is between side X Vs Islam.
1.U.S.(Afghanistan and IRAQ)
2.Russia (Chechenya)
3.India (Kashmir civil war)
4. Israel-Palestine.
5. Indonesia (christian-muslim riots)
6. Eritrea(muslim)-Ethiopia(Christian)
7.Serbs - Albanians/Bosnians
8.China (uighur muslims,Xinjiang)
10.Somalia ('93 civil war)
WHY?
That they are simply following the koranic injunctions of Dar-el-islam (:the nation of peace or the nation of which islamization is complete), and the Dar-el-Harb (:the battle field ,the nation which is underway with the process of islamization).
In classic Islamic belief, the world is divided into two antagonistic categories: the Dar al-Harb ("abode of war") and Dar al-Islam ("abode of Islam"). Within this dualistic construct, "peace" can only abide where Islam has total political and cultural domination. Anything existing outside the Dar al-Islam sphere is fair game for military and cultural conquest. Classic Islam maintains that Islam is universally sovereign, and completely justified in taking control of the whole world by force if necessary, and that anyone who rejects Islam is an idolator and an infidel.
The Koran counsels Islamic faithful
[9.5]:
"So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush . . ."
and
[9: 29]:
"Fight those who believe not in Allah and the last day . . . until they pay the tribute out of hand and have been humbled.
[Site Owners Note: Another Translation Reads:
"Until they pay the jizya and feel themselves
subdued.
"]
O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for friends.
[al-Ma'idah 5:51.11]
Whoever changes his Islamic religion, kill him.
Sahih Al-Bukhari(V9B84N57)
Take him and fetter him and expose him to hell fire.
(Koran 69:30-37)
I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers, Smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger tips of them.
(Koran 8:12)
They (the unbelievers) should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides.
(Koran 5:33)
"Know that paradise is under the shades of swords."
Sahih al-Bukhari Vol 4 p55
A literal interpretation of those verses and others enables Muslims to affirm their religion as "a religion of peace" while assenting to slaughter and oppression of infidels with no sense of self-contradiction. It is arguable that Osama bin Laden's interpretation of Koranic inspiration for attacking the infidel West is not totally dissonant with classical Islamic teaching, although I expect that many modern Muslims are, to say the least, conflicted on these issues or in rationalistic denial.
Failure to comprehend the dualistic worldview of classical Islam will serve the West ill in what is certain to be ongoing tension with the Islamic world.
A failure of Western reality perception is the notion that Islam can be reasoned with. It is naive and foolhardy to wishfully proceed as if Islam operates on the same sort of foundational moral and philosophical assumptions as we do.
How can such an expansionist philosophy be called a religion is a big question.
And PEACEFUL? It is not!
Islam has always been a war religion that has conquered and expanded by military force and has only been stoppable by superior military force. Diplomacy and reason never work with Islam. The Western liberal obsession with "dialogue" has always been futile in confrontation with Islamic intransigence and self-righteousness. Indeed, had it not been for superior military power and resolve the use it, Europe would be a Muslim society today. It was barely more than 300 years ago that the advance of Kara Mustafa's Islamic armies into the West were halted at the gates of Vienna. The date was September 11th, and anyone who thinks that's a coincidence just doesn't get the dynamic that's in play.
Islamification, on the other hand, is almost always a one-way street. There is no religious freedom in Islamic culture. No one leaves Islam under Islamic regimes. To try is to die. Indeed, there are few converts from Islam to anything else under any circumstances. Anglo-French historian Hilaire Belloc argued that Mohammedanism is essentially a Christian heresy that has adopted Christ's admonition to "go forth and teach all nations," adding the sword as a persuasive catalyst.
For all our faults and moral failures, the West is still, thanks to residual Christianity, a better place to live than Islamic nations. We have much to atone for, but cultural suicide and capitulation to Islam is not the answer.
The huge flaw in/of arab culture and its generated mindcontrol tool called "islam"

(Religion of Peace?)
(keep in mind I wrote this piece without having read a letter in the koran. It came mainly from my intuition)
As there's no such thing as extreme, political or militant islam or islamic terror: islam encompasses terror and is extreme in itself. Islam is merely a religion but more a (death) cult, created intentionally to act as a vehicle for arab expansionism.
This (death) cult only came to surface the moment arabs left their peninsula to conquer land. They assimilated other cultures and (still) claim(ed) it as theirs. It stole from existing religions and claimed it as it self.
The works of the Greeks were known in the Arab and North African world for a thousand years before Islam, and Islam began translating Greek texts into Arabic within a century of its military conquests. Arabs stole most from other cultures and used islam to conquer and contain. To control and contain the conquered masses a guy called mohammed wrote a book 'Koran' and invented islam which he based on existing religions and from which he "borrowed" most.
They forced the indigenous people into islam or slaughtered them. E.g. Palestine, Egypt, Irak, Sudan, Maroc and so on. In most of those places you'll hardly find descendants of the people who originally lived there and if so those are oppressed or 'open air exhibits'.
Furthermore Anti-semitism amongst arabs is not a new phenomenum: in WWII ALL arab nations, except for the french and english protectorates, supported and embraced the Nazis.
Following the same pattern as the earlier arab conquests we again see islam used as a tool to gain power and control through the establishment of a 'One Muslim Nation'.
In this muslim nation it is up to others to accept islam or die as infidel. Because of the fact that there's only one islam it is a big mistake to talk about islamic extremists or islamic terrorists. There's NO radical ,political or extreme islam.
Because islam is ONE it is extreme, radical, political, hateful in itself. Islam in its core IS extreme and terror. Islam is not peace but war. Islam doesn't worship life, it worships death. It's a virus infecting from inside.
With the attacks on non-muslims islam shows more and more it's true nature of suicidal death cult and its objectives and shows many similarities with totalitarian tendencies.
A couple of years ago there was an item on the BBC in which a undercover journalist infiltrated a muslimcongres taking place in England where a new 'jihad' was decided.
What happened at 9/11 and with all the other islamic driven terror acts is part of this new worldwide campaign: the jihad for an universal islamic state without the infidels. This Global Jihad Network wants to establish an islamic caliphat and anything is allowed to get there. Anything goes and is fair target.
And if a muslim dies in this 'fight' he's a martyr, goes to heaven. This way for a muslim it's always a 'win-win' situation.
Western people refuse to understand this total different attitude towards life and death and have no answer because of their own self-proclaimed-civilized culture and their (mostly) christian background ("Thou shall not kill"). They still refuse to see the threat islam poses. Only countries like Israel and India seem to have some working answer (if left to it). People living in those countries know and experience daily that it doesn't matter under which names those muslims operate ( AlQaeda,Islamic Jihad, XXX or hotsflots): Palestinian suicidal bombers murdering Israelian civilians come from the same stem as AlQaeda and only the flag differs.
No matter under what name committed, all attacks by muslims are linked.
Any dissatisfaction amongst muslims is hijacked for their greater purpose. Any cause can and will do for those muslims and can and will be adopted to fuel anger amongst fellow muslemen. Any (political) cause to stir up sentiments. Anything to reach their goals, even with an atom bomb (thanks Pakistan, Iran).
To justify murderous acts any misfeeling amongst muslims somewhere on this planet gets exploited and transformed into a universal muslim problem linked to all other problems muslims face. In order to break this cycle of myths and lies we need to unlink social problems and this cult. In discussions we need to separate global issues like hunger, poverty, freedom etc. from islam and not be drawn into the islamic falsification of history and facts.
Whenever suitable history is changed to fit muslim goals, exchanging historical facts for islamic myths. Whenever needed Mohammed lands in his Buick on a piece of land and voila, another place can be claimed to be muslim territory (e.g. Al-Aqsa mosk or even the AyaSofia mosk-which btw was originally a church).
They successfully use that infamous and concocted "Jewish Conspiracy" theory to obscure their own conspiracy. USA is the great satan, they say, but miraculously forget that the USA didn't play any significant role in world politics 'till after WWII. Just ask muslims who was their enemy before the USA and their anwer will show that in fact the real satan for muslims are all non-muslims, their way of life and their values of freedom and 'democracy'.
How comes most shit done to other muslims comes from muslims, but despite this they still point their finger to others and hardly ever look inwards?
Because democracy is incompatible with the nature of islam and a main target to destroy, there's no democratic 'muslim' state and there'll never be one.
To a muslim islamic values always stand above universal values and any attempt to integration is worthless. In this view only assimilation of the "conquered" (read "we,the free world") will be satisfactory. To fight those islamic murderers, lies and myths we need a total different and non-western (i.e. non-ethical, non-political correctness) approach and basically only total extinction of the idea 'islam' and the pulverization of it as a mindcontrol will avoid those bloody attacks.
A byproduct is that the media became unintentionally advertisementagencies for the terror groups. The media should start to understand that there's no difference between Hamas and Al-qaeda except for the scale of the battlefield.
By airing Hamas' views day in day out the media (specially the arab) are much to blame for the "popularity" of Hamas (and other islamists) resulting in the increase of terrorattacks. Terrorism is terrorism, no matter which face tries to justify it Murder on unarmed civilians is NOT guerilla-warfare but plain terrorism. The media make continously distinctions between different acts of terror by calling the perpetrators "extremist islamists" or "islamic terrorists" or even "freedom-fighters" But there's no such thing as extreme, political or militant islam or even islamic terror: islam encompasses terror and is extreme in itself.
To picture the bombblasts in Instanbul as political or somehow connected to Iraq would be a huge error. The people conducting those terrorcampaigns are part of a global movement fed by the "religion" islam and those bombblasts are the direct result from its doctrine.
The aim of this terror is to destabilize and send societies into despair to make way for religion.
No matter how many islamists you pick up or how much barriers you erect, as long as islam in it's present form exists the floodgates of terror will stay wide open.
