Crown Sennit Alternative
the 'Over 2 Strands' Crown Knot
The typical crown knot only goes over one strand. An alternative is the 'over 2'
crown knot which
goes over two strands before diving under a strand. It tends to draw up tight
and keeps its shape while you add the next layer in the
sennit, due to increased friction.
Note: You have to watch the first two strands when you're forming the knot since
they can slip down. Keep them up so that you can see where to tuck the last two
strands. Also the n-1 strand goes over the 1st strand and the nth strand goes
over the 2nd strand.
I've illustrated a 5 strand over 2 crown for you in 28 panels. I think I've
gotten all the strands going in the proper places.
I've also included
a animation at the bottom.
Good luck,
