return to my homepage Notes about this website
A new change in my website has arrived.  I have added some JavaScript in the banner to cause the "open book" image in the upper right hand corner to rotate as a visitor comes and goes on the homepage.  I call this action "passive interactive".  This sounds like a contradiction, but it's not.  When a visitor drills down to a subdirectory and then returns back to the homepage, the image in that corner changes with each return.  This allows the homepage to remain mostly constant and yet changing with interesting surprises.

The vertical light-spectrum beside the left menu items has been put in place. The purpose is to enhance the notion that each menu item is taken from a specific color out the total spectrum. The homepage iterations are now up to twenty six. Not bad for ten months worth of work.

The homepage was revised again. I changed the order of the menu items to better reflect the color spectrum of light - the original idea for all the menu items. The five links at the bottom of the page have been reverted back to their original format. The increased loading time of the ten additional images (for mouse over purposes) was not worth the value gained by using them. Lesson learned.  Not all changes are good changes.
