Doug Florzak is a Certified Guerrilla
Marketing Coach. He’s been interviewed by the New York Times, the L.A.
Times, the Chicago Tribune, and Crain’s Chicago Business for
his advice on independent consulting. He's also a contributor to Contract
Professional magazine. Doug’s consulting experience includes many years as
a systems technology consultant for companies like GTE Telenet and Wang
Laboratories, and over a decade as an independent consultant. He is founder and
president of Logical Directions, Inc., a business communication firm specializing
in training development and technical and business communications.
He has
a Certificate in Technical and Professional Communications from the Illinois
Institute of Technology and Bachelor of Science degrees in Information Science and
Business and Management from Northeastern Illinois University. An Associate
Fellow of the Society for Technical Communication (STC), he received several
honors from that group including writing and design awards.
Florzak
and his wife reside in the Chicago area where he is a volunteer mentor in the
Oak Park Youth Connect Program. He also serves as an election judge. He enjoys
racquetball, science fiction, and music, and, when he has time, plays bass in
local rock bands.
