Home Bio | David Lasky was born in 1967 in Washington. D.C. He grew up in Northern Virginia and attended the College of William and Mary, majoring in Fine Arts (with a minor in English Lit). He began drawing mini comics in 1991, while living in the Bay Area. He moved to Seattle in 1992, where he joined the ranks of a new wave of young “alternative cartoonists”. He has since produced a number of experimental comic books, including a nine page adaptation of Joyce’s “Ulysses”. In 2003-04, he completed the Graphic Design program at Shoreline Community College. He worked for Shoreline’s A&E Board as a poster designer, and went on to completely redesign the college’s paper “The Ebbtide”. David regularly does illustration work for clients such as “The Stranger” and “Bandoppler Magazine”.
