Mount Airy Learning Tree's Computer Volunteer Group
Computer Volunteer Group Activities
Conducted on June 19, 2002
At Mount Airy Presbyterian Church
Computer Camp starts July 8 with one week of half day sessions where Desk Top Publishing will be the main topic. There will be a ratio of 1 staff for every 4 students. The following two weeks will be full day sessions. Fees are as follows: $100 for the half day session week and $200 per week for the full week sessions. The camp will include fully supervised instruction, swimming and lunch.
We will not go with DSL for the lab instead we will be using a cable connection.
The group split into three teams: the camera team, the networking team and the testing team.
The networking team was reminded that they will need to uninstall Office 97, install Windows2000 and clear the documents before they make a clean image to be loaded on the instructors machine so that we may individually load from the network instead of an imaged CD which is slower.
To clear the documents (documents last accessed)
Start, Settings, click on Taskbar and Start Menu, select the file tab called "Start Menu Programs", click the clear tab in the box marked "Documents menu" to check that this has been accomplished go to start and documents the only thing you should see is "My Documents."
Welcome Adonica Gibson member of the original group. Now working for the I.R.S. Thanks for helping.
Reminders for Mr. Jenkins:
1. Draft forms for testing machines checklist.
2. Bring in good Mice for the testing team.
3. Norton Anti-Virus CD
4. Bring in forms for Computer Camp.
