Computer volunteer Group Activities
Conducted on July 31, 2002
The Group worked on three machines (labeled 1, 2, & 3)
Machine #1 had an IMF driver information files (this is a hardware information file)
From Networking, Netbeui ( a Microsoft ???) was added and it was an ID of station 1, Workgroup GWY_LAB
The Computer description for Machine 1 is 6282-30U
To see if Netbeui would work without an IP, file & print sharing had to be added and then the machine had to be rebooted. IT WORKED
Machine # 2 (6282-304 serial # 23CTDZ9) had 1762 & 162 configuration change has occured. This error will be investigated on the IBM website. (How was this resolved??)
Machine # 3 had an error code 1852 PCI/PMP ERROR! NOT ENOUGH I/O SPACE AVAILABLE.
Machines 1 & 3 finally had WIN 98 installed using CABS files (stands for cabinet a MS standard) from the WIN 98 CD.
