NEIT
TOURNAMENT IN SYRACUSE
This weekend, Bob, Mike, Dan, & Tim will be heading to
Syracuse to compete in the Northeast
Invitational IGBO Tournament. The
host city has plenty of activities
planned for all the competitors,
including side games, jackpots, bar
crawls, and plenty of libations...as
well as a full weekend of bowling!
Wish them luck as they go to represent
New Hampshire! (Yeah, that's why
we're going...not for the drinking or
partying or anything!!)
IGBO MULTI-CITY RAFFLE
Tim is selling raffle tickets for IGBO. This is a
semi-annual raffle which helps to raise
money for the host cities for the
mid-year and annual tournaments.
There are 10 cash prizes given
out. The top 3 winners also
receive a Storm bowling ball and a
prepaid entry to the upcoming Annual
Tournament in Atlanta on Memorial Day
weekend (a $100 value). The first
prize winner also receives a hotel
upgrade in Atlanta (a nice
suite!). Tickets are only $1
each. Prizes are also given to the
guy who sells the most tickets (I can't
compete with some of those larger
leagues, though - unless you buy stacks
of tickets!!). Don't worry, I'm
buying plenty for myself, as well!
I need to have the entries mailed by the
end of this month, so buy now!
Drawing will take place at the mid-year
tournament in Oklahoma City on November
11th (still time to register for that
one!)
USBC MEMBERSHIP
We
are still waiting on a visit from the
Southern New Hampshire USBC
representative. From what I
gather, it will cost the men $19 to join
as an associate member. I believe
it will cost the women $14.50, but that
may have changed recently. When
Daral visits, he will be able to explain
the advantages of joining USBC.
I'm afraid I don't have the necessary
info to answer our questions now!
Sorry!
BOWLING,
ANYONE?
And
speaking of membership....do you know
anybody that wants to join our
league? Due to unforeseen
circumstances, we have a couple of
openings in the league now for regular
bowlers. So, if you have a friend
that wants to join us, bring them along
next week. Also, if any of your
friends are on the substitute list,
remind them that they are welcome EVERY
week. If we happen to be full that
week (GREAT!), then they can bowl for
fun as a pacer.
THE REST OF IT
Don't
forget about our website, which is http://home.comcast.net/~MerrimackGNL/.
Christine has added some 'advertisement'
on our front page. For any of you
that want to promote your business, send
her a short paragraph and she'll set it
up for you. Bowling results are
usually posted by Saturday, so you can
check to see the standings and results
each week. Also, pix have been
posted of our 2007 Banquet this past
May...go check them out.
