Come visit the quiet island of Molokai.  Some say it is like “old Hawaii” - no hi-rises, giant shopping malls, or traffic lights - not one! It is Hawaii's best kept secret. You can still find beautiful beaches to enjoy all by yourself. The only large town on the island, Kaunakakai, is three blocks long and has grocery stores, shops, restaurants, and the Kanemitsu Bakery, known for coconut donuts and coconut bread. Average temperatures are 84°F in summer and fall and 78°F in winter and spring. BUT Molokai is not for everyone: some folks think it is TOO quiet!

 

Our one-bedroom, condo is located at the west end of the island in the Paniolo Hale complex.  It features:

• a king-sized bed in the upstairs master bedroom

• two full bathrooms, one on each level

• a queen-sized sofa bed on the main level

• spacious open beam ceilings

• a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, electric range and refrigerator

• a 10’x20’ screened lanai (porch)

• cable TV, VCR, DVD player

• in-unit washer and dryer

• a stroller, pack-and-play, and booster chair

• a computer in the office for guest use and free WIFI on the office porch (a short walk from Q-3)

• a non-smoking unit

 

Paniolo Hale is on nine acres of lush tropical gardens with large shade trees near Kepuhi Beach. The complex has a gated pool, paddle tennis, and a gas barbecue.  Though the adjacent golf course is closed, it parallels approximately 2 miles of coves and secluded beaches worthy of exploration and its fairways are fantastic for quiet strolls.
