Neshaminy-Warwick Presbyterian Church

Meet our Senior Pastor

Rev. Mark Lyndaker-Studer comes to Neshaminy-Warwick Presbyterian Church from Media Presbyterian Church where he served as Associate Pastor for three and a half years.  He has an M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary and has been a member of the Philadelphia Presbytery since 2004.  In 2001 he received a B.A. from California State University Sacramento in Humanities with a concentration in Comparative Religions.  Prior to joining Media Presbyterian Church, Mark, a native of northern California, served for five years as Director of Youth Ministries for a church in Sacramento, California and was sponsored by Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church in New York, NY as a seminarian.  In addition to his responsibilities at Media, Mark also serves on the Presbytery Nurture Committee.

Mark believes that the church today must proclaim a two-legged gospel, a gospel that communicates the love of God through both word and deed. "I believe we must see the mission field in our own backyard. People in our own communities need to hear the good news of God's love for them in Jesus Christ just as urgently as in every other place and time."

"The church must not be a community gathered together only for the sake of community, but a community centered in faith. We are called to faithfully worship and study the Word, share the Gospel, minister to those who are suffering, and thereby experience the abundant life that Jesus promises. ‘I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.’" (John 10:10)

Mark is married and lives in Northeast Philadelphia with his wife Anita.

In his free time, Mark enjoys playing basketball, watching the San Diego Chargers, and supporting Anita in the many programs she facilitates as the Associate Director of the Center of Social Policy at Temple University.

Mark is also an accomplished musician.   In his college days, he was a vocalist and lead guitarist of a Christian Rock band called Azure Circle.
