The Newtown Chapter of Hadassah, founded in 1987, has approximately 500 women members throughout Bucks County, PA. One of our main goals is to educate our members, as well as the community, about Judaism, Israel and their relevance to life in America. We've got something for everyone...study groups, fund-raising and volunteer projects, ladies' nights out, social events for couples, and much more!
In addition to supporting the national and international efforts of National Hadassah, our chapter is active in the local Jewish and secular communities.
You can become a member of Hadassah for only $36 a year, or make a lifelong commitment to Hadassah with a life membership. You also can access Hadassah's membership application form online; just print out the form, fill it out, and mail with your payment to Hadassah.
In keeping with IRS
regulations, membership dues/enrollment fees are not considered
to be tax-deductible contributions.

We currently have 118 new members. A membership award is given to anyr group reaching a minimum of 80% of its goal. So that means us! Congratulations to all of YOU for making this a banner year to celebrate.
It has been a busy year for me, as far as keeping track of all the new members, renewals, and life transfers. I want to thank Barbara Cohen, Sheila Levinsky, Debbie Chaiken, Eileen Wolfe, Jill Schwartz, Margie Kopins, Helen Mintzes, Sharon Waimberg and Charlene Schneier for all their hard work and help. Thank you new, life and especially all of our renewal members. Member-Get-Member Initiative
For every new member or new associate enrolled in Hadassah between 6/1/06 and 5/31/07, the referring member will receive one new enamel Legacy Value lapel pin. There are 18 different pins available. Why not try to collect the whole set!
Remember the Future... Leave A Legacy For the Generations!
Most of us have signed a will disposing of our treasures to those who will carry us in their memories. Many of us have written Ethical Wills expressing our sense of the moral values that have guided our lives. Hadassah allows each of us to practice the Jewish Code of Tzedakah by remembering Hadassah in our wills. Your attorney will feel honored to add this Legacy, so that you may leave your mark as an example for future generations.

Make your loved one an
associate member of Hadassah
Nationally, there are 27,000 associate members of Hadassah.
Our unit currently has 10 associates. It would be wonderful if we
could increase our list of associate members to show our support
for Hadassah.
An associate membership is a lifetime membership, which costs
$200. Associates receive a newsletter, Associates Advisor,
sponsor local fund-raising events and activities, and take part
in educational seminars. Associates promote awareness of
men’s health issues and participate in missions to Israel.
Hadassah associates have many events planned for July’s
national convention in Arizona.
Keep associate membership in mind as a gift for a brit milah or
bar mitzvah, for a birthday or Father’s Day or for a special
anniversary.
New
program! ‘Adopt-a-Member’
“Adopt-a-Member” is a mitzvah project in partnership
with the Abramson Center for Jewish Life. Pay $25 and enhance the
life of an older adult by making her a member of Hadassah and
linking her to the Jewish community. Newtown unit receives
membership credit.

Did you know for a nominal
fee you can own a generational pin from
Hadassah? It's a gold tree with a circle life member branch for
each
generation in your family that has a life member. The pins come
