Mazel tov to Enid Waldman,
2007 National Hadassah Leadership Award Winner
Enid Waldman, a member of Newtown Hadassah since April '98, has been chosen to receive the National Hadassah Leadership Award. Since Enid enjoys writing, she immediately was recruited to write an article for the bulletin about the 55 Plus meetings.
In 2005, she started to write articles about the afternoon meetings and the evening programs. She handled the mailings from 2003 to 2005 and currently fills in when needed.
At present, Enid is tco-chair of the annual contribution campaign with Janna Walsh, and she will continue in this capacity for another year. Since 1999, Enid has collected aluminum tabs to help subsidize families at the Ronald Mc Donald House. Enid has participated in many of the NewtownHadassah-sponsored trips. She was a member of the committee for the L'dor V'dor event at Ridge Crest Nursing Home in May 2004, and she was on the Bunco/ Poker committee in February 2005. She attended the 2005 Hadassah convention in Washington, D.C. Enid also helped with the invitations for "20 Years and Proud," and she is receiving the return cards.
As you can see, Enid is very involved with Hadassah, and is usually one of the first to volunteer for anything that needs to be done!
Besides Hadassah, Enid has been a volunteer in the\par Council Rock School District for 17 years. She is a member of S.A.G.E. (Senior Adults for Greater Education). She is on the Advisory Board at Ohev\par Shalom, and a member of the Sisterhood, and senior group. Enid is also a member of Shir Ami's 50 Something group.
