OSA Annual Show Awards OSA has traditionally given awards to the Oriental cats of club members (in good standing for a minimum of the previous six months) which score highest at the annual show in March. These awards are designated for both Oriental Shorthairs and Oriental Longhair, whichever scores the highest.
Talkie Award This is a perpetual rotating trophy award to the highest scoring Oriental Cat in the Championship class at the show. This silver cup was donated by Erma Jenei in loving memory of Grand Champion Illawong My Familiar of Dajens, CFA's best Oriental Shorthair 1983-1984. The award is presented to the winner at each show. The winner keeps the award for the year and passes it to the next winner at the following club show. Each cat's name and the year won is inscribed on the trophy. Effective 2003, the winner will also receive a permanent plaque to keep.
Barbara Levitan Award A sterling silver cat figurine designed by Barbara Levitan is awarded to the highest scoring Oriental Cat in championship class. This award is kept by the winner and is well recognized throughout CFA Oriental Shorthair breeders as recognition for a "job well done." Alison Hedberg Award A plaque is awarded to the OSA highest scoring Oriental Kitten. The award is in memory of Alison Hedberg, of Sand-N-Sea cattery. Alison was a dedicated Oriental breeder, a member of OSA, and her lines are represented in many of the top Orientals today. OSA Plaque A plaque is awarded to the highest scoring Oriental in Premiership. This beautiful plaque is presented by the OSA Club in recognition of the accomplishment and to recognize the importance of Premiership cats in competition. All OSA show awards are determined by normal CFA scoring methods and OSA membership eligibility. Special rosettes are also awarded to each of the top three Oriental Cats. Presentation of the awards is at the end of the show on Sunday.
