Becoming a Tellington TTouch Practitioner (Level 1) involves 350 hours of training from internationally-respected instructors, hundreds of hours working with a variety of companion animals, completing 15 case studies and attending 6 week-long TTouch Trainings. Requirements for the next level include another hundred hours of working with animals, teaching over 100 hours of group classes and planning out the agenda for 2-day Workshops for 20 teams.
Tellington TTouch® is a unique approach to training and healthcare developed by internationally known animal expert, Linda Tellington-Jones. TTouch, as the method was nick-named, grew out of Linda’s extensive range of experience and expertise, combined with her study of the Feldenkrais Method®, and her recognition that the same principles could be applied to animals. Based on cooperation, understanding, compassion and respect for our animal friends, these techniques are used to support veterinary care and behavior modification by building self-confidence which eliminates fearful or inappropriate responses. TTouch has been taught at multiple universities while over 600 Certified Practitioners work with people and their animals worldwide.
