| Original Letter of Intent October 21, 2008 Hello Folks! After obtaining a journalism degree, I worked as a newspaper reporter with a nose for news and newsprint in my blood. Since my youth, I have wanted to write my own column, be a Chicago Tribune -style columnist like Mike Royko or the Carey figure on the television show “Sex In the City.” Yet here I am, middle-aged, and still have not managed to find a publication that would have me. So considering my waning youth and current state of technology, I decided that there is only one way to make this happen and that is to publish myself, on the world wide web, no less. I have started a more or less monthly column that is my take on being, in the words of President Barack Obama, “a citizen of the world.” The column will provide information, issues, topics and opinions that relate to being a member of the global community from my humble perspective. In it, I will endeavor to inform, stimulate, intrigue, and interest you. I am hopeful that my contribution will be of value to you and inspire you. I welcome your feedback and suggestions and would appreciate you forwarding it on to those you think may benefit from it. Please email me if you want to be added to my “subscriber” list and inform me if you want to be removed from it. This is my private list, that I shall not share.
