A detective mystery, thriller with a pinch of the unusual and bizarre. The rapport between the two main characters has a feel similiar to the 2004 film "Collateral" starring Tom Cruise and Jami Fox, except with more humor and less subterfuge.

Synopsis
GUILT: That gnawing sensation in the pit of your stomach. That ever-present feeling that you did something wrong. That what you did wasn't good enough and whatever you're doing now, isn't good enough either. It stops you in your tracks. You can't move forward and you can't go back either.

This is the feeling Stan wakes up to every morning. It eats away at his self-esteem, preventing him from taking action, any action. And this is where we find him when our story opens...

"Stranglehold" is a feature-length, character-driven, mystery/thriller screenplay about living a lie. Stan, a soft-spoken botanist, becomes embroiled in a series of bizarre murders, bucking up against a hard-nosed police detective, in the midst of midlife crisis. The two push against each other as the truth unfolds in a tale with a twist.

There are several ad-on marketing possibilities for this film and potential for a sequel. View Christina Hazelwod's screen credits on imdb.com. For more information email the writer at: ROMIntl@comcast.net
