How shall I put it...Slash fiction is fun.* Especially Daria slashfiction. So, I just thought I'd compile a modest page o'links for it.
*Except for the stuff that's badly written. Or nonsensical. Or just creepy. Or when it builds up the reader's expectations only to leave all the characters dead, heartbroken, or mind-wiped at the end. Or the ones where a canon gay character hooks up with a character of the opposite gender and no one can figure out if that makes it "reverse-slash" or something and you get into the whole debate of proper terminolog--Okay, SOME slashfic, but not all, is fun.
Now, I'm not pretending to be an experienced critic, and I'm no Hays Code puritan. But I recognize that some nights, one feels like watching a charming Nora Ephron movie; and other times, you feel like watching something with "versus" and a numeral higher than "IV" in the title. And the same thing, I think, applies to fanfic--so, with that rationale, I'm loosely organizing this list along a rating system, so the reader might be able to better find a story to their liking. (I'd like to think that I've been pretty fair and impartial, but I'm the first one to admit that these ain't much more than guesstimates.)

(Fairly innoculous romance.) |

(Somewhat strong/"mature" themes, and/or fairly overt sexual content) |

(Real strong/mature themes, and/or really overt sexual content) |

Another thing; I've purposely excluded hard sex fics from this page. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy hard-core internet smut as much as the next guy; but there are already a number of well-established pages focusing on that aspect of Daria fandom, and I just can't abide needless redundancy. However, while I've tried to weed out the outright "Daria meets Caligula part III: The Slashening"-type stories, some still may include violence, profanity, criminal behavior, gory chainsaw fights, and/or sex. |

"Really only a matter of logic." |

Status Quo Ante [Sequel to the above] "What will Jane do in the aftermath?" |
|
La Belle Dame Sans Merci [ibid] "Just when things look really bad, they get much, much worse." |
|
If I may be so bold as to pop in here for a moment; I don't know if the above three (fine) stories are supposed to end there, or if this was to be an ongoing series that has yet to be continued. Either way, I need closure, damnit!--Nick |

"Daria has a hard decision to make when Jane discovers her feelings for Tom." |
Aaand...I just realized that this page is pretty much exclusively Daria/Jane femmeslash. I probably should have tried to find a more diverse collection. Ah, well.
