You may have problems loading some Saved single or Multi-Window files after upgrading to Version 1.73.

RUBEUP.EXE installs Version 1.73a and fixes that problem.

Your original Saved single (*.WN1, *.WIN) or Multi-Window files(*.WS1, *.WIS) are in the C:\FR4Win\data\FT15BAK directory. Do not delete any files in this directory as the fix will read these files and place the new files (*.WS2, *.WN2) files in the C:\FR4Win\data\ directory.

 

FastTrack will do a major database upgrade the evening of July 11, 2008. The current and new data bases are:

FastRUBE v1.73a will read the new databases.

Do not install version 1.73a before your FT database is upgraded because it will not read the old databases.

This Version has the following modifications:

1)       Modified Program to read the changes to the FastTrack database on 07/11/2008.

2)       Modified the way Notes handles the saved remarks.

3)       Modified Program to create FTI61RU.FAM, FTF61RU.FAM, FTF62RU.FAM, FTF63RU.FAM, FTS61RU.FAM,and FTS62RU.FAM files in the \FT\USERDEF directory. These files contain the symbols in each database.

 

Please see the “What’s New” section in the Help system for the most recent modifications.

 

You may have to use Internet Explorer to down load the files. For some unknown reason Netscape does not work.

 

 

 

SETUP.EX- V1.73a (1.10MB – 07/17/08) This file will install the Rube Windows Demo. A FastRUBE program group will be added to your Windows “START-PROGRAM” list. The Help system contains the text from the manual.

Do not download this file if you are doing an upgrade!

 

1)       Click on Link Above to open the File Download window.

2)       Select “Save this file to Disk”. Click “OK” to open the “Save As” window.

3)       Change the file name from SETUP.EX- to SETUP.EXE.

4)       Change the folder to Desktop.

5)       Save the file.

6)       Run SETUP.EXE from your desktop.

7)       Delete SETUP.EXE from your desktop.

RUBEUP.EX- v1.73a  (391 KB – 07/17/08) This file will upgrade all of the previous FastRube versions to Version 1.73a.

1)       Click on Link Above to open the File Download window.

2)       Select “Save this file to Disk”. Click “OK” to open the “Save As” window.

3)       Change the file name from RUBEUP.EX- to RUBEUP.EXE.

4)       Change the folder to Desktop.

5)       Save the file.

6)       Run RUBEUP.EXE from your desktop.

7)       Confirm the upgrade is complete and the new version has been properly installed.

8)       Delete RUBEUP.EXE from your desktop.

9)       Some times you get the "Sorry you are not registered" Message after the installation. Shut the program down. Restart it. You should not get the message but the dates will be the same as where you shut down the program. Hit the “When” button and change the dates.

Lotus ScreenCam Demo

RUBESCM.EX- (4,909,822 - 4/3/98) This is a compressed file that contains a Lotus ScreenCam movie demonstration of FastRUBE.

1)       Download this file to some directory on your hard drive (ie\TEMP )

2)       Change the name from RUBESCM.EX- to RUBESCM.EXE.

3)       Run RUBESCM.EXE to extract SCPLAYER.EXE and RUBE.SCM.

4)       Open an MS-DOS prompt in the directory in which you extracted the file and type - "scplayer rube.scm"

If you have the FastTrack for the Web Beta installed, then you may double-click the Rube.SCM file to run the Demo.
