The Marion County ARES Unit provides emergency communications via Amateur
Radio to augment existing modes utilized by the Marion County Emergency
Management Staff. In addition to facilitating emergency communications,
MCARES may also provide public service communications at events such as
parades, walkathons, foot races or bicycle rides. Local ARES nets are
Monday and Thursday evenings on 146.86 mhz at 7:00pm.

The Polk County ARES Unit provides emergency communications via Amateur
Radio utilized by the Polk County Emergency Management Staff. For more
