OUTSIDE FRONT
Suggested size 4 1/4 X 5 1/2" blank greeting card. Press your thumb or finger onto a non-toxic stamp pad. Press your finger or thumb onto a blank index card to prevent errors on your greeting card. Let the prints dry. Draw designs and words with a permanent fine line marker. Personalize. Trim index card down to 4 X 5 inches. Attach your index card drawing to the blank card front.

INSIDE
A scrapbooking journaling stencil is handy to help you to draw lines to keep the lettering straight. Of course, you may want the lettering to appear primitive. You may vary the style of lettering.

Decorate the envelope with little flowers, hearts or butterflies to match the card!

Pick the dogs of your choice.
 

It's best not to draw an oval around the outer edge of the thumbprints and fingerprints because it's hard to tell that they are really your fingerprints if you do so. Keep an open type design so your own fingerprints will show.

THUMBPRINT FROGS FROGS AND MORE FROGS

  Make frog fingerprint drawings by pressing your finger onto a non-toxic ink pad. Press your inked finger onto desired surface such as card stock, a blank 3"x 5" card, stationery, or envelopes. Let the ink dry. Use a fine line marker to add details.

After drawing a few frogs, try putting them in various poses.

Create a Thumbprint or Fingerprint Picture using YOUR OWN FINGERPRINTS to create a Fingerprint Picture. Frame it and adhere magnetic tape to the back. Put it on the front of the fridge and make one for Grandma too. She will love this special gift

The Thumbprint Ants Go Marching On
Gaynell shared this wonderful idea. She was doing a class project for a going away gift for a teacher.  The fourth graders put their fingerprints on a red and white table cloth.  Gaynell used fabric paint for the kids fingerprints and then painted the legs and each child's name under their "ant" with Tulip Matte fabric paint.  It has a great tip for fine lines. The results were awesome!
