Human Rights Campaign

On March 20, 2003, several Freedom players served as guest bartenders at the Union Station Capital City Brewery in support of the Human Rights Campaign.

The tall shift: Monica Gerardo and Abby Wambach

The short shift: Skate Noftsinger and Kelly Golebeio - Golbioew - Globi - you know, the new girl from Australia.

General manager Katy Button helps a possessed Abby conduct the raffle.

The rookie shift: Lori Lindsey and Darci Borski round out the evening.

World Children's Day at McDonald's

On November 20, 2002, Abby Wambach and Ann Cook served behind the counter at a McDonald's near Chinatown in support of World Children's Day.

You want fries with that?

Abby has the advantage. (They're hanging paper hands for each dollar donated.)

They accept a donation from Freedom staffer Charlotte Holmes.

Abby, Cookie, and friend.

You said you wanted fries with that!

In case of doubt, add some more salt.

Abby's turn with the fries.

Washington Freedom Poetry Lessons

On November 12, 2002, Carrie Moore and Sarah Kate Noftsinger, as part of the DC SCORES program, helped kids from Bancroft Elementary School write poetry. The event took place at a Starbucks near Dupont Circle.

Sarah Kate critically examines someone's offering

Carrie chats with a couple of her charges.

Skate accepts the applause from the kids. (In my dictionary, next to the word "cute," there's a picture of Sarah Kate Noftsinger).
