Washington Freedom/DC101 Foosball Tournament
(and other activities)
On April 16, 2002, DC101 sponsored a foosball tournament at Dave & Busters (at White Flint Mall) along with the Washington Freedom, in support of Children's Hospital. Below are some of my photos from the event.
And, if you page down far enough, you'll see just a couple of photographs from the DC SCORES event on May 1, 2002, where Freedom players worked as volunteer bartenders, with their tips going to the SCORES charity.

| And a little extra: here's my one photo from the season opener, as Skylar watches Mia exercise. | |
 |
| Stephanie, Anne, Jen, and Siri start things off at the autograph table. |
 |
| Now be sure to come to the game, little girl: Jacqui generously autographs a schedule for Skylar. (They really did this - don't ask me why.) |
| Mia and Skylar. | |
 | Erin and my friend Sherri's flatmate Joe take on the opposition. (Erin was the only Freedom player to take part in the tournament proper, and that was only because Joe couldn't find a partner.) |
 | Mia and Erin face off. |
| Tracey and Carrie take on Stephanie and Erin. | |
 | Are we having fun yet? |
| Carrie takes Monica as a new partner. | |
 |
| Erin and Stephanie defend the honor of the Freedom against the tournament champs. |
| Jacqui and Skylar (in that order) take their turn as bartenders, with help from Stephanie Rigamat. In the background, Casey Zimny chats with Ron Kessler, archon of the Crusaders. | |
 |
| Carrie handles the cash while Dawn dispenses the beer. |
