Welcome to the
Thompson Collectors Association
Website
The Thompson Collectors Association (TCA) began in 1990 with a small group of collectors who were interested in meeting other collectors to share information on the history of the Thompson. Today the Thompson Collectors Association has 300 members around the world, publishing a quarterly newsletter containing articles written by members on topics such as manufacturing variations, parts, and accessories. The TCA is a National Rifle Association (NRA) affiliated club and has set up displays at the NRA National Convention and other major gun shows, with our main emphasis on collecting, possession, use, and study of Thompson Submachine Gun accessories and related history.
An annual meeting and shoot is held each summer in the east where members set-up displays, trade items, and enjoy fellowship. Our spring western show and shoot is held near Golden Valley, Arizona.
There are an estimated 5,000 to 10,000 legally owed TSMGs remaining. This website is dedicated to preserving the TSMG legend which the Thompson collectors maintain by various activities. While you browse our website, we hope you'll gain some of our excitement about the Thompson.
