About Counseling:
Getting help does not mean you are a “mental case” or weak, it means that you are aware you have a problem, and want to deal with it instead of ignoring it or hoping it will go away. Counseling for me, is first and foremost a ministry.
I believe God plays a major part in restoring our dysfunctional, troubled lives.
My counseling involves support and genuine caring and complete confidentiality.
My style is collaborative and seeks to empower the client.
My hope is to guide you into reclaiming feelings of self worth, restoring relationships, and renewing thoughts.
I counsel using various methods, often working from a Family Systems perspective, I take into account the issues and patterns within your relationships as well as what is going on inside you.
I encourage clients to be proactive in their healing.
We decide together the goals of therapy and the treatment plan.
I often encourage clients to complete homework or practical tasks.
The counseling that I do is for both Christians and non Christians. However, my counseling is strongly influenced by my belief and value system as a Christian.
I have over ten years experience counseling people with personal, and marriage and family issues.
A major focus of my work has been in helping people with boundary issues, individually or in groups.
