What is a Velveteen Women’s Group?

A small group of women who desire Real Faith, Real Intimacy and a place to practice being Real through fun, fellowship, and support.

The Group seeks to emulate the principles found in The Velveteen Women: Becoming Real through God's transforming love (Chariot Victor Press/Cook).  The author Brenda Waggoner, frames her thoughts with the classic children's book, "The Velveteen Rabbit" in which the rabbit becomes real through his owner's love.

Why Velveteen Women’s Groups?

Women need “hanging out” friends, the kind of friends you can call on when needed; women who are tired of superficiality.

What do you do in a Velveteen Women’s Group?

Get together in each others homes for breakfast once a month with no agenda, except for camaraderie and support. As the group develops its own likes and personality, the activities expand to attending special events, beach trips and retreats.
