"Lens (and body) cap tip"

This may not be very exciting but it's something useful I learned from my Dad.
Since he's no longer here, my way of celebrating Father's Day this year is to share it with you.

When lighting isn't very good it can be difficult to get the correct orientation for lens and body caps.
Especially if you're rushing in the field to protect your CCD against the ravages of dust.
Dad taught me to use "white out" to mark my lens and body caps.
(The fine tipped pen, as shown, is very easy to use.)

This really does help.
Thanks (for everything) dad!
(I miss you.)

Bill

   Good tip indeed.
It is also good on electronic cable releases, always hard to find the exact position.

Have a great time
