"Circular polarizer example"

I thought I would share this example from my collection.

Right after I took the shot on the left I gave myself a "dope slap" and put the circular polarizer on for a second shot. With the polarizer the interesting stairway detail that I was after is much nicer. The darker blue sky is just a bonus There is also a hint or purple in the office windows, probably due to some coating on the windows.

I find a circular polarizer very useful but rarely have side by side shots to compare. Does anyone else have good side by side examples to share?

Bill

You said there is some purple that you thught was from some coating on the window.

It looks like the reflection of the sky beind you. It has the same colour as the "bonus" sky colour in the shot. am i looking in the wrong windows?

Great example. How did your eye see it in relation to how the nshots came out.

Good example Bill. I always mean to intentionally make more 'teaching' examples of this sort of thing, but right now I can't think of a good side by side example of mine right now.
