HELLO! I'm Vagel KellerI'm a retired Army Armor Officer living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Since retirement I have pursued a second career as a lecturer, consultant and college-level instructor in U.S. History with special emphasis on the development and environmental effects of technology and industry. I received a Ph.D. in History and Policy from Carnegie Mellon University in 2005.
As my Homepage suggests, I am very interested in America's industrial history, especially the coal, iron & steel, and railroad transportation industries. I am also an avid model railroader and member of the National Model Railroaders Association since 1986.
