Tektronix 1740 Waveform Monitor/Vectorscope Operating and Service Manual
This manual covers the Tektronix 1740 Series Television Waveform Monitor and Vectorscope. It is scanned from the original OEM paper manual. The scans came out very well, and all information available in
the original manual is available and readable here. These pages are in
.PDF format, and the distributable version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader will be included. The Operations Section includes all operations
information specific to the 1740 you may need to know, plus a great deal of general info pertaining to waveform monitors and vectorscopes and their use. The Service Sections are, of course, complete with schematics, parts lists, theories of operation, troubleshooting and alignment info and etceteras.
Two PDFs of the manual are provided, in two resolutions. One is:
Text pages scanned at 300dpi
Text with Drawings at 400dpi (minimum) black and white
Schematics at 600dpi black and white or 400 dpi (minimum) greyscale
Text with photos at 600dpi grayscale with contrast adjusted
Schematics, overlays with color notes (if any) at 600dpi 256 colors
The other set is done in resolutions that vary depending on individual page content, but are never higher than needed to produce a useable quality, quickly navigable file that will do the job without consuming more time and resources than are needed.
Also, I include a "foldouts.pdf" with A3 (11x17") foldout pages. Please note that a small percentage of Tek foldouts are done in 11x24", in which case they're provided in two 11x17" page scans.
I send you both resolutions on the CD. You'll receive the large file, plus the smaller, faster text-searchable version. That way, you can navigate, search and etceteras with the fast file and only use the large file when you want to print. All original manual pages are supplied in both resolutions, with no pages added or subtracted.
