Eimac Amateur Service Newsletters AS-1 through AS-50
RIGHT-click on the picture above to download a 27 MB sample file that includes the tables of contents with titles of each newsletter and the tubes each newsletter references, along with a couple of the complete newsletters.
This CD contains scans of Eimac's Amateur Service Newsletters, providing just about everything you need to know about linear amplifier use of Eimac tubes, as well as other useful ham radio information. Please note that there are no "DJVU" or other formats you need browser plugins for on this CD. Acrobat Reader is the only thing required, and the installation/upgrade file for v7.0 is included on the CD.
A listing of the tube types and articles included would be too long, but if you're prepared to take an approximately 27 megabyte ZIP or PDF, right-click on the picture above and use the "save target as.." option in the resulting dropdown menu to transfer the sample PDF to your hard drive, then open it in Acrobat. If you attempt to left-click and download the PDF directly into Acrobat over the internet, please be prepared for a long, long wait, as that's a far more time consuming procedure. The sample pages include the Tables of Contents, which do include the Eimac tube type each article refers to. There are several plans for linear amplifiers up to 2 kW. The only Amateur Service Letter missing in this set between AS-1 and AS-50 are AS-22, 31, 36, 37 and 38, which weren't published by Eimac, as can be seen by looking at the Eimac-provided index. (In other words, to the best of our knowledge, this set is complete). Articles cover HF and VHF frequencies. There is a good deal of moonbounce information as well, including antenna information.
This PDF is provided in both a 491 MB very high resolution (600 dpi) bookmarked and hyperlinked PDF that's better for printing and also a much smaller, faster text-searchable scan of the material for every day research and bench use.
Please Note: In order to delay the inevitable plagiarism of this product by eBay "marketing" and "leeching" scanned manual vendors this product is locked against editing. Printing is not affected by this.
