This disk contains scans of the pages of a Ten-Tec Operator's Manual, which also serves as a Service Manual, for the Omni VI Transceiver. This manual covers everything you need to know to operate, calibrate, repair, or maintain the Omni VI. The manual includes general information, specifications, circuit description, schematics, parts layouts, and etceteras. There are no formal parts list tables as are often seen in service-specific manuals, and if there is a more service-specific manual for this rig I haven't seen it. The scan is done in 600 dpi greyscale, 600 dpi b/w, or 256 color 600 dpi, as appropriate for the individual page, and is assembled into an Adobe Acrobat (PDF) file.
Also included on the CD is the smaller, faster (55 MB) "research resolution" PDF of the same material. It has all the pages and attributes of the high res PDF but is done in a lower, less resource intensive resolution for use in laptops and for faster access. The smaller PDF is text searchable. In both PDFs, the 11x17" information areas are done in 11x17" scans and also in 8.5x11" scans. The very high res (302 MB) PDF is meant to be used for printing the best quality pages, but since it is very large you will find the smaller PDF more useful for purposes other than printing. Please note that if you order FTP only, you get the smaller, faster PDF only; the very high res PDF is too large for effective FTP transfer. We'll email you the host name, username, and password to use. Please know that "delivery by email" and FTP are two different things, we do not send manuals by email attachment, and for our customers' safety we don't use third party "free services" like yousendit.com; FTP is provided from our own server, which is under our administration and control. Setup and operation of an FTP client is your responsibility. If you're not experienced in such procedures please use the postal delivery of a CD button.
