eBay Scanned Manuals Vendor Sales Kits
Were you aware of the fact that the majority of vendors making a killing distributing scanned manuals on eBay don't own or use a scanner at all? They simply download material from internet free manual sites (see http://home.comcast.net/~aa4df02/downloaded_manuals.htm) or obtain collections such as those we sell, then break them up and through clever, "creative advertising" convince customers that "their" manual is better than "other" offerings. Seem impossible that buyers would go for it?? Just look at sales of scanned manuals on eBay, and realize that at this moment (Dec '06) there are (to the best of our knowledge) only two original document producers still distributing on eBay, those being us (as aa4df and as ralph.d.miller) and a fellow in Greece! Every other scanned manual vendor currently on eBay is selling mostly free internet downloads and items they acquired one way or the other from actual document producers like us, almost always from our lower resolution material that we distribute in collections. If they can do it.. so can you! With one or more of these collections, a little creativity to "market" the products, an eBay seller account and a CD burner, you too can become one of the dozens of vendors selling scanned manuals on eBay! For some of the collections (like the GE 1939-42 collection and the Ham Radio Sets), you'll need PDF editing software like Acrobat (write capable, not just read) in order to separate individual manuals from the sets in order to list them as eBay items. Click on the links in the "Type/Media" columns below for more info on each specific collection, for access to "buy" buttons, and etceteras.
