My New Kitty

Smokey Killer

    The newest addition to our household menagerie is a 6 wk old female kitten named Smokey Killer.

Her story is a simple one.  I wanted a dog, even a small dog would have been fine.  However, the Rents (aka Mom & Dan) said, "No Dogs."  Well, as you can imagine this was a great disappointment especially since I had almost talked Rufus into helping pay vet bills and adoption fees to get me a dog.  Monday November 22nd, 2004 Daniel was delivering oil to a family in Duncannon, PA.  He was greeted by the family's litter of kittens.  One male and one female stood out as very friendly and showed particular interest in Daniel.  My mother has been trying to get a kitten forever.  She wants a calico.  However, due to the extra cost of the new addition and its loan payments she is not really at a point to get one yet.  I liked the description I heard over the phone.  A smoke grey female named killer because she was the first of her litter to kill something (a mole).  After a long talk with the owner and a short discussion with Rufus it was decided I would go get the kitten that evening.  Rufus has agreed to help me with the vet bills and other related costs as much as possible.  So, Monday night the newest member of our family came home.  She's cuddly and loves to be held.  Her favorite thing to do is fall asleep curled up on my chest while I watch TV or play on my computer.  She's very active and enjoys balls, anything with a bell in it, and toy mice especially the kind with catnip in them.  I'm very happy and hope you all enjoy the pictures.
