Meet Kris!

Kris would like to be able to see – could you help?

In December 2003, Kris was found cruising the parking lot of
a local seafood restaurant looking for food left by patrons.
Kris was at a disadvantage when it came to scampering and competing for food with the other kitties.  As you will notice,
Kris’ eyes are clouded over by cataracts.

A little over one year old the ophthalmologist suspects that
the cataracts are hereditary vs. nutritional.  Without surgery
Kris, who can see light and movement will be doomed to live in
a foggy, blurry world and eventually probably have his eyes
removed due to deterioration and disease.

When he first came home he was very scared, hid in a box
and crawled on his belly, the effects of the trauma of being
dumped by someone he trusted.  He is now a very sweet and
loving kitty, who loves to sit on your lap, be held and now
offers up his belly for scratching in complete trust.

The operation to remove the cataracts and replace the
lens cost $2500.  So far we have raised $500, with a
very generous donation by our friends at PETCO.

If you would like to donate and help Kris see, funds may
be sent to: Adopt-A-Rescued-Kitty, Inc.
P. O. Box 331362
Atlantic Beach, Florida 32233

If you know of any other organizations that could help with
the costs of the Surgery, please let them know the plight of
Kris! We need to keep reaching for that $2500 Goal!
