Here is a list of our current Rocket Arsenal! Some of these are not yet built and some have soared so high that they never came back! HAHA!!! *italics indicate manufacturer's text*

Mean Machine

Length: 79.0" (200.6 cm)
Diameter: 1.64" (41.7 mm)
Weight: 5.8 oz (164 g)
Recovery: 24" (61 cm) parachute
Fins: Laser Cut Fins
Recommended Engines:
D12-3, D12-5, E9-4, E9-6

6' is a huge rocket. Impressive flights. Really fun to setup and launch. First launch attempt was too windy and ended up falling off the launch pad damaging the launch lug. Fixed in a few hours and we were back at it in no time.

The Mean Machine is back and now it's meaner than ever! Now you can fly it on Estes E engines and soar over 900 feet (274m) high!

Big Daddy™

Length: 19" (48.3 cm)
Diameter: 3.0" (7.6 cm)
Weight: 5.3 oz (150.3 g)
Recovery: 24" (61 cm) Parachute
Fins: Laser cut balsa
Recommended Engines:
C11-3, D12-3, D12-5, E9-4, E9-6

We have been excited about adding this one to our arsenal. Most likely will be a team effort build.

The Big Daddy is back and better than ever! It can fly over twice as high as the old grandpa version. It now uses Estes E engines, has laser cut fins and has a new contemporary look. This big guy can also be launched on Estes C11 and D engines.

Bull Pup 12D™

Length: 15.6" (39.6 cm)
Diameter: 1.33" (33.8 mm)
Weight:
1.8 oz (51 g)
Recovery: 12" (30 cm) parachute
Fins: Die cut balsa
Recommended Engines:
A8-3 (FF),B4-4, B6-4, C6-5

Aaron got this one for Christmas. Construction has already begun and should be ready for paint at the same time as the Mean Machine.

Sport scale version of the USAF AGM -12D Bull Pup. Plastic tail cone and authentic color decals! Great first scale model!

Intruder

Length: 19.25"
Diameter: .984"
Weight: 1.3 oz.
Recovery: 14" Parachute
Max Altitude: 800'
Stages: 1

Aaron picked this one out due to the cool look of the fins. It also has some length to it which should make for some impressive flights.

The Mean Machine is back and now it's meaner than ever! Now you can fly it on Estes E engines and soar over 900 feet (274m) high!

Space Shuttle Intrepid

Recovery (Main Body): Parachute Recovery (Glider): Free Flight
Fin Type: Balsa Wood
Length: 15.4 in. 39.1 cm
Diameter: 1.58 in 40 mm
Recomm. Motors: B6-4 C6-3 Maximum Altitude: 500ft / 152m

Kay picked this one out at Amatos. This is our first jump into the glider recovery rockets.

When a member of the Quest team brings the Space Shuttle Intrepid out to the local flying field for a launch the reaction is always the same: "OH COOL! What is THAT?"

Get ready for that reaction! The Space Shuttle Intrepid is Quest's most challenging - and rewarding - model kit. There are two major components: a "main ship" ( that is awesome enough to stand alone) and a "shuttlecraft" that separates at apogee and glides to earth.

"Houston - we have excitement!"

Executioner™

Length:  38.5 in. (97.8 cm)
Diameter:  2.6" (66 cm)
Weight:  8.1 oz. (230 g)
Recovery:  24 in. (61 cm) parachute
Fins:  T3 laser cut wood
Maximum Altitude:  590 ft. (180 m)
Recommended Engines:  D12-3, E9-4, E9-6

This was the hardest rocket we have built yet due to the extreme paint job. It looks great and the end result is very rewarding.

'E'normous "E" powered model rocket that stands over 3 feet (0.9 m) tall! The Executioner comes with a blow molded nose cone, laser cut wood fins and a slotted body tube.

Fatboy

Length: 12.9" (32.8 cm)
Diameter: 2.6" (66 mm)
Weight: 3.0 oz (85 g)
Recovery: 18" Parachute
Fins: Balsa
Engines: B4-2, B6-2, C5-3, C6-3

This was a fun project. A neat little fat rocket!!!

Fat boy... and proud of it! Over 2-1/2 inches in diameter and just over 12 inches high! Bullies its way to over 300 feet in altitude and recovers with a 'chute!

Screamin' DEMON

Length: 20.5 in. / 52.2cm
Diameter: .98 in. / 25mm
Recovery: Streamer
Fin type: Balsa Wood with TTW Construction
Recommended Motors: A6-4 / B6-4 / C6-5

Very slick looking rocket. Decals did not seem to go on straight no matter what we did. Got them on regardless and boy does she fly straight.

Let's start with the TTW (Through-The-Wall) fin construction: you'll need it because the Screamin' DEMON is one FAST kit. Paint this kit in the hot colors of your choice and then apply the decal which not only wraps the body but also trails onto the fin. Cool. Really Cool!

Black Widow

Fins: Pre-cut Balsa
Recovery: Streamer
Length: 13.45" (34.16 cm)
Diameter: 0.976" (2.48 cm)
Weight: 0.6 oz (17 g)
Recommended Engines: A8-3 (first flight), A8-5, B4-4, B4-6, B6-4, C6-5

We bought this rocket to fill out our Hobbylinc order when we purchased the Estes E launch Pad and Estes E launch controller. It will be our first Surefire kit.

The Black Widow is a Flying Model Rocket from SureFire Rockets. This is a Skill Level 1 Assembly Kit for Ages 10 and older.

Viking™

Length: 12.1" (30.7 cm)
Diameter: 0.74" (18.8 mm)
Weight: 0.6 oz (17 g)
Recovery: Streamer
Fins: Die cut card
Maximum Altitude: 1470 ft (448 m)

Just finished this rocket. I used the five fin setup. It was fun to build. I painted it the colors on the package and it came out cool. The green I used was a flake green which is different from the package but still cool.

Fantastic rocket with multiple fin configurations - 48 in all. Features self-adhesive decals and streamer recovery.

U.S. Army Patriot M-104

Length: 18.0 in. (46 cm)
Diameter: 1.35 in. (34.3 mm)
Weight: 2.7 oz. (75 g)
Recovery: 12" Parachute
Fins: Plastic molded
Maximum Altitude: 600'

This one came with our Wal-Mart ready to fly kit. It has flown five times I think. It always performs well. We use C6-5 engines on it and it soars pretty high. Check out some of the pictures and video of the launches using the links to the left.

The mother of all air defense missiles, the Patriot dominates the skies. This classic 1:10 scale model rocket is derived from the U.S. Army's M-104 and features precision die-cut parts and genuine Patriot decals. This kit is easy to construct and finish. Includes a FREE Operation Enduring Freedom Decal.

Comanche-3™

Stages: 3
Length: 41" (104.1 cm)
Diameter: 0.98" (24.9 mm)
Weight: 2.1 oz (59 g)
Recovery: Streamer
Fins: Die cut balsa
Maximum Altitude: 2660 ft (811 m)

This one is still in the package. This was part of Amato's Hobby Store's 20% off sale. We bought 8 rockets!!!! This one will be interesting since it is a triple stage rocket. WOW!

When two stages are not enough, try three! A "D" first stage booster gets things going in a hurry. This high flying rocket roars to ultra high altitudes - over a half mile high! The Comanche-3 now has laser cut fins and waterslide decals!

Astra

Length:  13 in / 33cm
Diameter: .984 in. / 25mm
Recovery:  Parachute
Fin type: Balsa wood with TTW Construction
Motors: A6-4 / B6-4 / C6-5

Wingki decided to paint it Lime Gold Flake! It looks pretty good. The one fin will be blue. First time we used Sanding Sealer and the fins look great. Unfortunatley the wind was too much for this rocket and it was lost. :(

New to rocketry? Maybe you have never constructed a model with balsa wood fins? Then the Quest Astra I kit is what you need! The ASTRA features Quest's new TTW (Through-The-Wall) construction!

With a large 25mm body tube this model is easy to construct and will take the rigors of multiple flights. Finishing is a snap - give the finished model a coat of white and then apply the clear decals. You are ready to fly!

Pip Squeak

Length:  7.25 in. / 18.4cm
Diameter: .787 in. / 20mm
Recovery:  Streamer
Fin type: Balsa wood
Motors: A6-4 / B6-4 / C6-5

This was the smallest rocket until the Quark arrived. It is still pretty small. It was one of the 8 we bought on sale. Wingki decided to paint it red. HOT!

It's called the "Pip Squeak".  It's a little over 7" long.  It's...well....almost cute.

As long as you define "cute" as the ability to hit a clear 1800ft maximum.  Cute and  high performance all in one package!

Spin Fin

Length:  12 in. / 30.5cm
Diameter: .984 in. / 25mm
Recovery:  Parachute
Fin type: Balsa wood
Motors: A6-4 / B6-4 / C6-5

This rocket turned out great. The fins and decals were tough, but Wingki did a great job!

A close look at the Quest Spin Fin will reveal small "airelons" at the trailing edge of each fin.  These lead to both a unique spinning flight and (surprisingly) a good deal of stability to boot!

Super Bird

Length: 31.25 in. / 79.4cm
Diameter: 1.378 in. / 35mm
Recovery: Dual Parachute
Fin type: Balsa wood
Motors: B6-2 / B6-4 / C6-3 / C6-5

The payload bay to this rocket was lost due to winds and drift. I will never again launch a payload bay rocket without something in it.

The Quest SuperBird is the perfect vehicle for long, slow and impressive flights. With an 800 ft. maximum altitude and dual parachutes the SuperBird is as interesting to watch coming down as going up!

Need more? How about the capability to haul payload? The SuperBird has that too!

Navaho AGM

Length: 20.25 in. / 51.4cm
Diameter: .984 in. / 25mm
Recovery: Parachute
Fin type: Balsa wood
Upper Stage Motors: A6-4 / B6-2 / B6-4 / C6-3/5
Booster Stage Motors: B6-0 / C6-0

Project started on August 22, 2006. Used some new techniques for sanding and sealing with mixed results.

Want to hit a clean 2000 ft? The Quest Navaho AGM kit can do it! This 2-stage model not only has the performance but comes with an extensive set of decals to give it the look to match.

Harpoon

Length: 20.5 in. / 52.1cm
Diameter: 1.576 in. / 40mm Recovery: Parachute
Fin type: Balsa wood
Motors: B6-2 / B6-4 / C6-3 / C6-5

This is the first model I built in the recent addiction. It has launched now two different times. The parachute did not open the first launch and it fell in a gravel road. I thought it broke but it held up. The chute was wound too tight. My version of this rocket does not fly straight up. It kind of drifts to the left.

A realistic model based on the famous Navy anti-ship missile system With multiple fins and extensive decals this model is as challenging as it is cool!

Stardart

Skill Level: 1
Length: 12.75"
Diameter: .75"
Nose Cone: Ogive
Weight (without motor):1oz
Fins: 3 balsa
Stages: 1
Motor Mount 18mm
Recovery System:12in parachute

This is the first model that Wingki built. This model goes way up there with a C6-7 engine. Unfortunately it never came down. We walked around and looked for it for about an hour and could not find it. Luckily, we got another one during the 20% off sale. We will be putting the talcum powder in the cone next time.

Quark

Length:  5.2" (13.2 cm)
Diameter:  0.54" (13.7 mm)
Weight:  0.1 oz (3 g)
Recovery:  Featherweight
Fins:  Balsa
Maximum Altitude:  700 ft (213 m)
Recommended Engines:  1/4A3-3T, 1/2A3-4T(FF)*, A3-4T, A10-3T

I did not know they made rockets this small. This thing is tiny. It says level one construction but because of its size, it is a little more difficult.

With incredibly simple construction, a little spray paint and decals, and whoosh - out-a-sight flights to 700 feet! Feather-weight recovery for this micro rocket!
