Welcome to AAUW Newark Branch!

AAUW advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, and research. AAUW is the largest and oldest national organization for women, founded in Boston in 1881 by 65 women college graduates. Currently, there are approximately 100,000 members nationwide in 1000 branches.

Located in northern Delaware in a university community, Newark Branch is a group of about 60 members. We are an active group with interesting speaker programs, several study and interest groups, and we publish a monthly newsletter. We sponsor an annual Math/Science Luncheon to honor outstanding eleventh grade girls who excel in math and science.
