Christmas, 2000

On Christmas Day Abbey is all dressed up for a photo with mom and dad.

Naturally she has her picture take with Grandma and Grandpa Frazee. Soon after christmas she started walking and although she received lots of toys from Santa her favorate one is the remote control for anyone's TV set. If you have one on a coffee table she will pick it up and run.

On December 2, 2000, Abbey met Santa. She is now crawling all over the house. Gets into everything. Handles have been taken off cabinets because she likes to snoop into doors she can open. She can crawl upstairs but doesn't know how to get down. She can pull herself up and stand next to the sofa and tables. She picks up and looks at anything she can reach, and then drops it on the floor. The bottom three feet of the Christmas tree has no decorations. Do you know why?

On December 10th Abbey had her picture taken with Fran in front of her first Chistmas tree.

Mom's cousin Anne Lenth stops off to visit on her way to Boston.

Cousin Gabriel is loosing his baby teeth and afer 7 months Abigail is just getting hers.

She sits tall in the chair.

It didn't take two seconds to pull Grandpa's flowers over and start pulling them apart.

She scoots around on her tummy and every so often she gets up on her knees. She knows something is suppose to happen, but, when she moves her knees forward her hands stay put and she falls on her face. Co-ordinating this hand-leg thing is going to be tricky.

July, 2000

Grandma holds Abbey on the front porch as Bob plants an apple tree

In July Grandpa "The Colonel" planted an apple tree for Abbey.

June, 2000

Abbey loves Grandma's swimming pool.

She loves to practice standing up.

Grandpa's bear won't share his honey....

I'll bet Pooh would share his honey....

Abigail is all smiles when she stays with grandpa.

... but, why wouldn't she smile, she gets to ride with Grandma and the Colonel on their motorcycle.

February 17, 2000

The First Photos Taken on February 17, 2000, within hours of birth.

Born on February 17, 2000, at approximately 1:23 p.m.

No bigger than a rose petal at 7 pounds.

Suzanne shows off her new pride and joy.

Rob, Suzanne and Abigail pose for what I am sure is to be their first, of many, family Christmas photographs.

Fran, now a very young grandmother, wearing her Y2K sweater, rocks Abigail who is now just barely six hours old.

Me? I am in trial in Hennepin County. During the lunch break I call "Birthing Room #1" for another update and am told "The baby's here, I gotta go, we're really busy right now!" and before the phone is hung up I hear a wee baby's cry. Little did I know that I called just when the baby was born and the phone call is even on the tape of the birth. When I got to the hospital later that night my heart was pounding so .....

From this time on, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger and their many friends, are watching over her.
