Abigail Elizabeth Smith

Meet Abigail Elizabeth Smith

If you desire, you can write to Suzanne and Rob.

Abigail has turned two and we thus start a new page.

Fall, 2001.

In October Abbey was taken on her second annual trip to the

apple orchard to get apples for Grandma to make pies.

This is not the "little pig"that stayed home.

This is the one that "went to the market."

This is the perfect way to go apple picking.

Ice cream with a warm apple turnover is just perfect after

working so hard picking all those apples.

Grandpa needs help pushing a bushel of apples, apple

strudel and a pumpkin to the car.

Abbey smiles as she sits at home with Mom after her day on the farm.

Summer, 2001.

Grandpa retired on July 1, 2001. Abbey helps celebrate the event.

Grandma found Mom's old cabbage patch doll.

Just the thing a girl needs for relaxing with Dad.

Baptism, May 12, 2001.

On Mother's Day, 2001, Abbey was baptized at Brunswick United Methodist Church. Here she is with uncle Phillip, Grandma Frazee and Grandpa Frazee

Of course, such an event has to be properly celebrated with a party and Abbey has learned that when she is all dressed up this must mean cake is on the way.

Rob, caught up with the "spirit" of the event celebrates with a baptism of his own.

The next day Grandma and Uncle Phil took Abbey to Como Zoo in St Paul. (May 2001)

March, 2001

Rob, like President Bush, is introducing a new generation to baseball.

Mom, I really like this 'sgetti.

First birthday, February 17, 2001.

Like a pixie fairy Abbey sits for her first formal birthday portriat

On February 17, 2001, Abbey was one year old and she had her first taste of birthday cake baked with loving care by Grandma Frazee. She was not quite sure how to eat this grown-up food but slowly dug in.

Abbey rides her Sweet Briar rocking cow.

When Grandma Johnson gave Abbey a birthday party she could hardly wait to get to the cake

Abbey wasn't quite sure what to do with her first cake, but by the time Grandma Carol Johnson gave her a party a week later she had figured out the program and knew she would like what she tasted.

Here is a first birthday photo of Abbey with parents and grandparents
Bob & Fran Frazee and Carol and Dwight Johnson

After all the parties Abbey had a formal first year photograph. Oh, so pretty in her pink dress.

All this picture taking can get a girl tired out.

But I'm a lot better when I get home, can change into some comfortable clothes and play with dad.

Of course, you are always welcome to:

See what happened last year (Birth to age 1).

See what starting at age 3.

Come back often; as you can imagine, this is going to be a continuing work in progress.
