Pre-holiday Whirlwind
Well, it's been crazy around here lately. Elora just celebrated her 2nd birthday, Abby had her first piano recital, we had our multi-generation Christmas musical, we learned that Elora does NOT like Santa, Kady noticed her first loose tooth, and Abby had her investiture into Brownies. And that was just this weekend!

I also wanted to let you know how excited we are about the reConnect Christmas offering at our church this weekend. We've been working with the girls to help them understand that some of the money we would normally spend on Christmas presents for them will be going to Tanzania. I was so proud when Abby and Kady gave up some of their allowance money from the past few months to help build a community center in Africa. It was a very moving experience today, when, as the choir sang, people from all walks of life brought their offerings. We were hoping to raise the $80,000 necessary for the construction of the building. So far today, we have $138,000! Isn't it amazing what God can do?!!
